Our Personal Experience With GetResponse
We decided to experience the features firsthand by taking their free trial for a test drive. Creating an account proved to be a breeze. It’s refreshing when free trials don’t demand extensive upfront information or necessitate personal details, such as a phone number for potential sales contacts. All we had to do was provide our email address, confirm it, add our location, and we were good to go
Customizable Dashboard
After logging in, you’re presented with a brief guide that navigates you through the diverse tools, or you can choose to navigate independently. The primary screen features a customizable dashboard, allowing you to incorporate and arrange ‘widgets’ for the tools you frequently use, providing a personalized and user-friendly interface.
Customizable Menus
Having prior experience with other email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp and Constant Contact, we discovered that GetResponse stands out for its exceptional intuitiveness and user-friendliness. Navigating through the menu is effortless, with the option to customize the top three tools based on your specific requirements.
A/B Testing, Automation, And Email Scheduling Is User-Friendly
Every feature we experimented with provided a step-by-step walkthrough for setup, ensuring clarity and foolproof execution, whether it was for emails, automation, A/B tests, or any other functionality. The user-friendly interface requires minimal expertise, making it approachable even for individuals who may not be tech-savvy.
Your Newsletters Will Look Slick Thanks To The Layout Builder And Pre-Designed Templates
Their email marketing tool has all the things you come to expect, like a layout builder, pre-designed templates, testing and previewing, saving templates, etc.
Mobile Lacks Some Features
But a few extra bells and whistles, such as the ability to add your own custom font and the option to turn off certain blocks to not show up on mobile.
AI Subject Line Generator
Built-In Spam Checker
Contact Management
The only thing we didn’t test out was some of the advanced options in the lists and reports since we didn’t have any contacts added or campaigns sent. But from what we could tell, those were just as simple too. The contacts area has a list hygiene area to remove duplicates or inactive contacts. You can also create blocklisting rules to prevent certain spammy domains from subscribing.

Praise
“I use GetResponse for basic email campaigns and find the tool easy to use. I was able to jump in and send my first email with limited time spent figuring out how it worked. I’m excited to explore other features going forward.”
Allison, G2Crowd 1/03/2024
“Get Response has evolved quite a bit in the 2-3 years that I’ve been with them. Consistently adding new elements and curriculums to the platform. From email responders to landing pages and website design, they’re becoming a well-rounded software that can be a huge advantage in your journey as a business owner. There are also lots of helpful tutorials and trainings to help you get the most from your subscription and further ahead in your business faster.”
Complaints
If you cancel it removes your access to your account immediately. So if you want to continue to use the service for the entire time that you have paid for you cannot cancel. However, if you miss canceling before the renewal date, they absolutely will not refund you. They also do not provide notice that they are about to renew your account.”
“I signed up with Get Response to send out my blog posts using my subscriber’s list. I sent out one email with my list and I received an email from Get Response that they were shutting down my account for investigation due to abnormally high negative metrics (such as spam complaints, bounces and/or unsubscribes). I emailed them back right away, but they didn’t respond until more than 24 hours later.”
Is Email Marketing Effective? 3 Stats for 2024
- Return on Investment (ROI):
- Email marketing has consistently shown a high ROI compared to other digital marketing channels. According to various studies, the average ROI for email marketing is around $42 for every $1 spent. This makes it one of the most cost-effective forms of digital marketing.
- Conversion Rates:
- Emails have a higher conversion rate compared to many other marketing channels. A well-crafted email with a clear call-to-action can drive recipients to take the desired actions, whether it’s making a purchase, signing up for a webinar, or downloading content. Conversion rates from email marketing campaigns vary, but they tend to be higher than those from social media or display ads.
- Global Reach and Engagement:
- Email is a widely used communication channel globally, providing a broad reach for marketers. With billions of email users worldwide, businesses have the opportunity to connect with a diverse audience. Additionally, personalized and targeted email campaigns have shown higher levels of engagement compared to generic, mass emails.
Keep in mind that the effectiveness of email marketing can depend on various factors, including the quality of the email content, the relevance to the target audience, and the overall strategy employed by the marketer.
